This is Amazing Grace

God has an awesome plan for you! He wants you to live the best life ever.

Stay with me and read on the Good News, the Gospel, to find out more on this amazing plan. It all starts with your standing before God.

The first thing you should know is that God loves you so much. You were created to enjoy a special, personal and love relationship with Him. He wants to bless you and enjoy life.

John 3:16 says, “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

John 10:10 says, “…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

However, you can’t. I can’t. In fact, no one can’t. You know why?

Because we’re all sinners. Sin is anything that separates man from God–things like complacency, worry, disobedience, pride, selfishness and all other sins. God loves us, but He utterly hates our sin.

Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God….”

The news doesn’t get any better. Romans 6:23 says,

“For the wages of sin is death….”

Wages–what does this mean? That means that if one sins, he should die. The equation is sin = death.

Oh by the way, what is death? To some people, death is like an end to something or someone. Actually, death means separation. If one sins, from what or from whom is he separated from?

“…of God.” God Himself. The loving, just and compassionate Father.

And now it gets worse. There are 2 kinds of death: physical and spiritual. I think you already know what the first kind is. Here’s what the Bible has to say about the second death:

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”(Revelation 21:8)

Check which of the sins above apply to you. I italicized liars because I am so guilty of it. I may not know you, but I have the feeling you’re a liar too. So that means we are destined for HELL. Are you ready to swim in the largest  and hottest jacuzzi anyone will ever see?

But before you even answer that ridiculous question, there is good news. Finally! 🙂 God can’t bear the thought of you and me suffering for eternity, away from His presence. Remember: God. Loves. You. Very. Much. So He made a solution. He paid the ultimate price Himself by condescending to our state, becoming like us and taking our place on the slaughterhouse. He’s the 2nd Person of the Trinity. He is the Son, Jesus Christ.

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

Eternal life. What’s that? It literally is life forevermore. But this life is, as what Jesus said earlier in John 10:10, an abundant and meaningful one. Joyful. Peaceful. Provided in all aspects–physical, emotional, financial, spiritual and social–by the Creator of the universe. Loving. Safe. Moreover, it’s a  personal relationship with the Lover of your soul, Jesus Christ.

Many people try to achieve this life by doing good works or by being sincere, but they either figure out that these methods don’t work or they die not knowing the truth. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.” He is not a way, a truth or another option of life. He’s the one and only. Ephesians 2:8-9 also says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.”

“So what now Jenny? What am I going to do with Jesus?” Remember the verse I showed you earlier about the wages of sin? The truth is, it does not end there. 🙂

“for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Jesus is giving you a gift–the gift of salvation. It’s for you to take. The question is: Will you?

“How do I take it?” Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” If you believe in Jesus Christ and desire Him to come into your heart–to be your Master, Lord, Savior, Friend and Lover–then you can express your faith to Him by saying a prayer like this: (note: it’s not a magic spell that eliminates the sin. It’s just a way of telling Jesus your commitment to Him. Feel free to pray as you desire, whatever you want to tell Jesus.)

“Lord Jesus, I realize that I’m a sinner that is doomed to die. I cannot save myself. I also realize that I need you. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, life and soul. I give you full control over everything. I want to claim the eternal life you promised. Thank You, for taking my place on the cross. Make me new. I am Yours. Amen.”

DID YOU pray that prayer? If you did, you are now God’s child! Praise God! Welcome to the family, brother, sister!

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)

Jesus promises to NEVER leave you and to NEVER forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

“Now how do I start this new life?” Do not worry. Here are some practical ways to help you grow:

  1. Get a Bible. Once you have your own Bible, I suggest you start reading the book of John in the New Testament. Devotionals are also helpful for your growth.
  2. Spend at least 15 minutes reading the Bible and praying to God everyday. It’s like bonding time with Him. For Bible translations, my personal favorite is NASB, but any version would do.
  3. Find a church near you.  They would be more than willing to help you grow in the Lord.
  4. This is important: share the Gospel to others. Your new faith in Christ is now your life story. Share it like you mean it!

If you responded to God’s call for you, I’d like to get in touch with you and perhaps help you in your new walk with Christ. Feel free to email me:

God bless you!
